Our Mission is...To bring about awareness through education of Shaken Baby Syndrome in the Tidewater area; to aide the medical society in providing literature and training on "What to do when a baby cries" as well as providing information on the catastrophic consequences of Shaken Baby Syndrome. We will focus much of our energy by sharing the story of "Our Littlest Hero," Jared Nicolas, who is the grandson of our founders and has been suffering and fighting the consequences of Shaken Baby Syndrome since he was six weeks old.

Here at Shaken Baby Syndrome of Virginia, Inc., our initiative is to reach out to the community through education and awareness of SBS. Our trainers conduct seminars of all sizes in order to provide parents with valuable information on what to do when a baby cries, as well as the consequences of Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS). We are a non-profit organization that has been inspired by its' co-founders journey with their grandson, Jared Nicolas. Jared suffered severe brain damage at just six weeks of age and has been fighting for his life ever since.

Only through contributions and fund-raisers can we continue to fight the catastrophic problem that is silently endangering our children. We are committed to providing training  and literature to insure awareness throughout our community. If at all possible, please help us to insure that Jared's Journey will not be in vane.
